The Weighting of Form

This artwork displays a powerful relationship between the foreground and background where you feel the growing of detailed colouring and living in the subtlest colours.

The artwork contains poems by Tannookhi in his powerful six-line descriptions. To describe the poem, the poet is receiving an element of welcomed surprise, of good fortune, of good fate, of good feeling. It could be the brightest dawn coming out of the longest darkest night, it could be the most pleasing news making the saddest heart fly, it could be the obtaining of wealth dreamt by the neediest of all, it could be the long-awaited freedom longed by the most unjustly imprisoned.

The artwork was produced in 1997, inks and acrylics on paper, the size of which is approximately 152cm x 102cm. The artwork is in the collection of the Artist.
